Taking Stock Twenty Three

Hello, how are you doing?

I came across this taking stock list on the blog Meet Me At Mikes and I thought it would be fun to do one of my own to mark my birthday.

Lets take Stock!

Cooking: I haven’t cooked in so long I’m not even sure I remember how to. This is one of the advantages of living at home. My Home Science teacher would probably smack me across the head for saying that but oh well.  However, I want to buy a good Kenyan recipe book because I plan on rediscovering my love for cooking.

Drinking: I have cut down on how much soda I drink. Anyone who knows me knows I have a weakness for blackcurrant. I’m drinking lots of coffee which I don’t think is a great either but I don’t really want to do anything about it.

I was told that I should try drinking Aloe Vera juice or something however I’m not really sure I can handle the taste. Have you tried something similar? If you have any suggestions on healthy drinks I’d like to hear them.

Reading: I just completed Ark Angel by Anthony Horowitz and A Court of Thorns And Roses by Sarah J Maas. I’m now reading A Court of Mist and Fury the second book in the series. If you are into mystical books then I suggest reading this series the story is very intriguing.

Wanting: Honestly I just want a 2 week holiday break. I want time to go to Eldoret since I haven’t been in over two years now. I also want to spend this time in my pajamas going nowhere and having a Gilmore Girls marathon.

What people don’t tell you about growing up is that life becomes more hectic and difficult. I honestly don’t understand why I was in such a hurry to grow up. (Take me back)

Looking: I’m currently looking for a place to buy nice trousers, t-shirts and dresses as well as some household stuff. I don’t have nearly enough jeans or t shirts which means, that every time my clothes are washed in this weather I get closer to having nothing to wear.

Playing: Sims 4 of course. Okay so I don’t think anyone can understand my obsession with this game except maybe my pal Alfred because I could spend hours playing and not get bored. My motivation mostly comes from watching Claire Siobhan my all time favorite YouTuber.

Deciding: Whether or not I should start dating again. I have been on a sort of break and have basically avoided the issue and anyone who brought it up. I don’t know though I always think about it and then end up deciding it’s better to wait a little longer.

Which is not being helped by the fact that everyone my age is either married or having babies and my relatives are noticing.

Wishing: I could have a few more hours in a day. Just to be able to do all the things I want but like they say if wishes were horses…

Waiting: For the new Gabrielle Union film Breaking In. It’s a thriller about a mother trying to save her children after their house is broken into. Now I saw the trailer and I cannot wait for the release. This is a bit weird for me because I stopped watching thrillers and horror movies after high school because now the tiniest things scare me.

Liking: Podcasts more and more every day. I am not a huge believer in self help books or videos. So it’s a surprise I even listen to podcasts. Which by the way, I started listening to because of Sharon Mundia.

Wondering: Where to go for dinner and a movie with my friends to celebrate my birthday. Any ideas?

Watching: So many things at the moment; Greys Anatomy, The Brave, Lucifer, Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, Seal Team, The Magicians, Marvel Runaways, Supernatural The Good Doctor, The Resident there are so many I can’t list all of them because I don’t have the space.

I’m also watching some K-Drama’s but for now my focus is on Descendants of the Sun.

Listening: To a lot of K-Pop. Some would say too much K-Pop but I believe there is no such thing. I got hooked last year in July after listening to Blood Sweat and Tears by BTS. It came up on YouTube as a suggested Video and I have been hooked ever since.

My favorite bands are BTS (obviously) KARD, Black Pink and NCT U. For Solo performers Kim Hyun Joong is the only one I know of and I am patiently waiting for new music.

Disliking: The rain so much, I know, there is drought and food shortage so we need rain but I would rather it didn’t rain during the day.

Feeling: Grateful for the year I have had and things I have accomplished as well as hopeful that I will get to do more.
